Budd Lynch

A true ambassador of goodwill for the Detroit Red Wings as well as the National Hockey League, Budd has been around the Red Wings for more than four decades. He was the radio broadcast voice of the Red Wings from 1949 through 1975. He has also served as the team's public relations director as well as the team's community relations director. He is one of this state's most colorful radio and television personalities having worked at one time or another with Windsor's CKLW, WWJ Radio and Television, WXYZ-TV and WJR Radio. He has seen all the great ones and recalls that his greatest hockey memory was being an integral part of the Detroit Red Wings during their great four-year Stanley Cup Championships between 1950 and 1955. Inducted into the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame in 1994.
