Ann Penelope Marston

Prior to her death at age 32 March 6, 1971, Ann Marston's impact on the Sport of Archery, as a champion, was unequalled in the U.S.A. Won first Target Archery title at age of nine in her native England. One week after arriving in the U.S.A. with her parents she captured her Cadet Archery title breaking all records as a junior until 1953; in 1954 at age 15, three years ahead of her time, she competed in Adult Division at the National Field Tournament and won, establishing three new records. Established all-time records winning a total of 11 National title; traveled extensively giving exhibitions and competing. Was graduate of Roosevelt High School. Inducted into the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame in 1977
